Hello all, I am Sonya. I am married to the love of my life Lee who is currently deployed to Kuwait. He is a US Naval Cop. We have two beautiful Children ages 5 & 3. I have been saved since 2000 and LOVE learning more and more about my heavenly Father! I am thankful for every day he gives me on earth and take it as a chance to tell others about his love and his salvation! I hope to get to know you all!

I have been saved for the past 6 years. I love rejoicing in the Lord and following his will. I decided that with all the layouts out there that maybe we should have a Chritian layouts too! With the support of a dear friend of mine, Michelle, Praise The Lord Layouts was born. I am very new to this so please give me time to get it all down. Some birds get very comfortable in their nests. Same church pew seat week after week, same hours, same parking space, same friends, same pair of shoes, same route to work, same restaurants, same way on cooking that chicken, same routine...same same same same, same. "Same" prohibits season changes and growth.
Deut 32:11 "like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them on its pinions." , the Lord alone led....
1 Corinthians 3:1,2 Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. (1 Peter 2:2,3) (growth was needed)
God knows our comfortable lives can be an anchor to our souls.
Eph. 4:15 grow up into Him
Ecc. 3:1 to everything there is a season
2 Cor. 3:18 from glory to glory
2 Pet. 3:18 grow in grace and knowledge
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you and watch over you.
Lam. 64:8 Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter, we are all the work of your hand.

My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
(Ps 84:2 NIV)
Father God,
I bring before You what is both a request and a gift. A request, because it benefits us. A gift, because it pleases You.
Our hearts desire is for more of you. We really confess that our ceaseless wanderings have proven that, apart from Your presence, we are spiritually bankrupt. Only in You have we found eternal life and truth (John 14:6). Only in You have we found the way to the Father's heart (John 14:6), and apart from You we have no good thing.
JESUS, we desire only You because You are the strength of our hearts and everything we will ever need~~forever. Our souls cry out for more of You because only in You do we find true purpose and meaning. Uou alone fit perfectly the God-shaped hole we so often try to fill with worldly and selfish pursuits.
So we echo John the Baptist words: May You increase and we decrease (John 3:30). May You grow in us as we become less. And as we become less, live Your life through us. Only in that kind of life are we truly pleasing in your sight.
"My soul longs, yes, even faints/For the courts of the Lord,/My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God"(Ps. 84.2 NKJV). JESUS, we thirst for the living water that comes only by drinking from the wells of salvation.
We need more of You~~more of Your power, more of your glory, more of your character, more of your works. Lord JESUS, we need more of you in our life. We want to know You in the power of Your resurrection and the fellowship of your sufferings, being conformed to your death and so that somehow we may attain the resurrection of the dead (Phil.3:10). To know Yo is to love You, to live for You, and to die to our self.
Most of all, we want more of You simply because we love You.
