IF ONLY SHE KNEW

Well, I have only been at my new job for a week and a half already. I am really enjoying it and love everyone I work with. As me and another co-worker sat and chatted, we started talking about life. She came right out and ask me if I was a Christian. I said oh yes, of course. She told me that she was not Christian and that she worshiped Buddah, but that she knew of Jesus and respected Him for who He is. She is Asain. She went on to ask if I have heard of Joel O'steen. Well, I sorta smiled and said yes, I have. She saw the look on my face and asked me if I liked him. I was honest and told her no. She asked me why and so I told her the "truth". I said, I feel that Joel O'steen is a false prophet. He preaches only feel good messages and never preaches from the Bible and God's truth and that I feel that God's word is important. She said yes, but that is good what he preaches. She said that he has changed her life. If she only knew that Jesus could change her life like no other! Our conversation got interrupted so we were unable to finish it. I cried on the way home. Not because I feel that I failed, but for her and her salvation. She is the kindest, sweetest most honest person I know, but we all know that those things do not get you into Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through the Father. I cried knowing that if I didn't witness to her, she would not go to Heaven with me someday and my heart was saddened by that knowledge. I also thought that as bad as Joel O'steen's messages are that if she came to know Jesus through his teachings then it would be worth it, but if she hasn't gotten it so far listening to him, that it just goes to show you how watered down his teachings really is. Please join me in praying for my co-worker and for me as I try to witness to her in the work place.
