Squat & squeeze are 2 words I gotta remember. I am a overweight lady with a fused ankle & fused back so my exercising is limited but I find swimming is good, also bouncing on a mini trampoline & walks that involve putting one foot in front of the other in the great outdoors! I have recently become a vegan & proud of it. Read my post under diet :) GBU all

According to the website www.exrx.net (An excellent website regarding exercises, BTW) "Contrary to what the infomercials suggest there is no such thing as spot reduction. Fat is lost throughout the body in a pattern dependent upon genetics, sex (hormones), and age. Overall body fat must be reduced to lose fat in any particular area. Although fat is lost or gained throughout the body it seems the the first area to get fat, or the last area to become lean, is the midsection (in men and some women, especially after menopause) and hips and thighs (in women and few men). From what I've read, it's a myth to think that you can target a certain area to reduce it. Your body takes the fat from where it can get it to expend the energy."

There's that evil word that everybody hates. Squats. Can I say that on here? They are also good for the abs as well.
