"Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."

There is something that I feel that I must admit. I have not Accepted Christ; I have not asked Christ into my heart I have not committed myself to Christ. That is because. What I have found is that these are things that the modern day church has come up with to make things easier for us to accept. Instead it has given false hope and false promise.
I have not accepted Christ; He did not need me to accept him. He never needed my approval for anything. If my heart had not changed all creation would not stop nor end. Instead I needed him to accept me.
Jesus is too big to fit into my heart. Instead I have decided that I have had to give Jesus my heart. For it is corrupt and there is no way that it would ever be clean enough to ever be worthy of his presents their. Not only did my heart need to be renewed it needed to be transplanted with his. Only having the heart of Jesus would be good enough. It is the Holy Spirit indwelling in me that has ever really made the changes that I could never do on my own.
I have surrendered my life to Him giving him all the control full trusting him not only for my salvation but for every breath every heart beat for all my needs. If I was to commit my life to him I would still have some sort of control over my life or at the very lest some sense of control. By surrendering my life I have allowed Gods will to be Gods will, not my own. He is master of my life; he is the one that guides my tongue, my head, my mind and my heart.
I am Saved. I am saved not because of anything that I have done. If anything, what I have done is to break Gods Law.
(1) You shall have no other gods before Me.
I have not always kept this. I have put other things and people before God. The
Bible tells us that there is no one that seeks after God.
(2) You shall not make for yourself an image, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Who can say that they have not done this?
Again I can answer it myself and even in my mind I have made a god that I
thought should be, instead of coming to know and believe in the One True God
that gave me life.
(3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
How many times do we use Gods name as a 4 letter cuss word. Even those who use the word Gosh to refrain from saying God when the say Oh my __ __ __. The word gosh, if you look in the dictionary is the same as god.
(4) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Before I was a Christian I did not keep this. I was having fun, doing what I wanted. It did not matter to me to keep one day holy. I have heard it said that under the New Testament That New Testament Believers were not under this law any longer. I believe that God calls us to be holy every day, every moment. And what I mean by that is that in every thing we do, we are to do it as people are looking at us as examples of Christ. How else can we bring him glory unless we are to live a holy life every moment of the day? Here is were we can get caught up. I can not do it on my own. So how can we then say that we have kept this command? We surely need divine intervention to help us on this.
(5) Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
(6) It would be easy enough to state that if you never broke this one, then you were never a child, but it is just as easy to state that if you were to only break one of all the Ten Commandments Then you have not brought honor to your parent but shame.
(7) Thou shalt not kill.
This was a hard one for me. Kill or to Murder. I never have never physically hurt anyone intentionally. As a matter of fact I really hated people that did that. And that was were God stepped in and raised the bar. Jesus said” He who hates his brother has already committed murder in his heart” Wow, I have been at times so unjustly angry with people. And at that point I never realized what God really thought of it.
(8) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Here is another that got me. I thought I was safe because I was not Married, So anything was ok, but then I found that Jesus raised the bar on this as well when he said “You have heard it said of old, Thou shalt not commit adultery, but I say to you if you look at a woman and lust after her, you have already committed adultery in your heart.” This doesn’t just mean for the married man, because we know that Fornicators will have their place in the lake of fire.
(9) Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor. (Just in case you need that in plain English Thou shalt not lie.)
Again you could try to talk your way out of this but you would have had never to have ever been a child. Even a small child will lie to get them out of trouble. Think of it this way. Have you ever told someone that they look good when they do not? Have you ever told someone as a joke something that was not true to get a laugh? It seems somewhat silly to bring these two up as an example, But when you tell them are they true. If not then they are a lie.
(10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbor’s.
Just say this. I want what God can’t and will not give me. I want what the other guy has. Because that is what is being done. Ask a matter of fact most all the other Laws are normally broken because you first had to want what God would not give you.
What are we to do about this, the fact that these laws leave us guilty before a holy and Just God? Who, if we stand before him guilty of these laws or even just one are deserving of Hell as our Judgment.
The good news is that Jesus Came to earth to help us with this, as a matter of fact he took All our sins on himself. The Bible tells us. He who knew no Sin became sin for us. He came to die for us. And he did when he was crucified on the cross, he took our sins upon himself so that we would not have to. He paid the highest price so that we would not have to
The only thing that we can do is to repent from out sin, to go and sin no more and put our trust completely in him for our Salvation, for our life and for everything we encounter.
I am an 39 year old father of 2 beautiful daughters and husband to the only wife I have ever known. I have been a Christian since 1986 and have come across a teaching that has changed my walk with the Lord forever. I live in CT right on the border of Connecticut and Rhode Island. I go to a God Fearing Church who is not afraid to teach the Law to the proud and Grace to the humble. My passion is to glorify God and for the lost and if you are not a Christian or do not understand what it means to be a Christian I beg you to come and talk with me. My life has been Surrendered to Christ for there is no life without him.
