I also like Christian music, making videos with a christian message to challenge christians and lost alike. Oh yea, and listening to Him.
Music Phil Wickham, Aaron Shust, Pillar, Disciple, Living Sacrifice, alternative christian, etc (all "christian" but not "all" christian if you know what I mean). I have been recently mellowing out in regards to music - I guess that comes with age.
Movies I like movies based on true life events, epic struggles, few against many, the David and Goliath & action type stuff. Also like clean comedy. Too bad its hard to find clean movies these days.
Television I dont really like TV anymore - its filled with too much yecky stuff. Matter of fact we got rid of our cable service.
Books The Bible, ahhh.... the bible... the bible... oh and... "Revolution in World Missions" by KP Yohannan, "Heavenly Man" & "Back to Jerusalem" by Haddaway & Yun, and few others, but my favorite is... you guessed it... the bible.,
Heroes: Ummm... people who deny themselves, surrender all, and follow Him.

About me:

A LITTLE ABOUT ME........................................................................ I started a new chapter in my life when I retired from the military in late 2005. During that time I gained experience with computers, teaching, training and a variety of other things (shooting & blowing stuff up). I am serious about my christian faith and have a couple of blogs dedicated to various topics. I am married to a wonderful women and we have a teenage daughter that wants to be a doctor. We are all "believers" and are following Christ - and like to fellowship with like minded individuals who radically follow God. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "SO WHAT'S UP WITH YOUR NAME... "XTIAN"? Many people have asked about my name "Xtian". Let me explain... "Xtian" is NOT a shorted form of Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and Savior. The "X" in latin stands for 'To delete, cancel, or obliterate' (i.e. kill, crush & crucify). Everything that I am is represented by "tian" which in latin means 'to hold, grasp, have'. Sooo... Its a reminder that I need to keep dying to self (give up everything I hold & have) and follow Him. Its that whole "less of me, more of Him" thing. I hope that clears things up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT'S IMPORTANT... 1. I am adamant that everything should be measured by THE standard = God's word. Jesus said that way to destruction is wide and many will perish, but the way to salvation is narrow and so is the gate. I highly encourage people to not take anyone's words (mine included) as 'gospel truth', until they compare it to the bible - if it measures up with scripture then cool, if not, well.... you better hit the book and seek God too - after all Jesus said He and His word will last for eternity, so my thinking is why put my hope and trust in something that doesn't make the cut ;) , 2. Seeking God, listening and Obeying Him! This is tough since most people don't think God speaks to us anymore. Deut 4:36 says "Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee..." Psa 95:7 "For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your heart" Even Jesus said the His sheep hear His voice (John 5:28, 5:37, & 10:3-4). There are lots more scriptures thru out the bible, but if we really have relationship with Him, then we must have two way communication. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone - saved, or unsaved. If your saved then there is fellowship, encouragement, sharing, learning and sometimes even correction (I have been know to blow it from time to time), but its all for the Glory of God! If your unsaved, then I hope I have the opportunity to answer any questions you have about the bible, God and the "good news". If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. Or even if you just need prayer send me a message. Why? cause its all for the glory of God and He told us to do stuff like this! ,

Growing in Grace

Are you one who doesn't see within.... spiritual growth?

Php 1:6 being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Going through a new season of growing pains... sometimes it is hard for us to see the growth and change. One can only sense the soils restrictions... limits set by earthly weight and even by ones own self. Breaking through the soil...may be painful at times. The outcome from a new emergence we long to see.

We need to rest in the soil under the Son, because it is God who is watching and waiting for us to bloosom. It is the Lords purposes and plans that are preparing us. We need to "rest" on Php 1:6 that He (not I) who began a good work...(He not I) will carry it on....to completion.

The Native American Indians in our simplicity, are taught to literally give away all that we have--to relatives, to guests of other tribes or clans, but above all to the poor and the aged, from whom we can hope for no return.

Matthew 6:3... But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.

When out gardening with my husband...the meanings of Matt. 6:3 kept running through my mind. I understood what the Lord was trying to teach..but the Lord took it a little further with me that day...a deeper insight...(whisper...as Pamela would call it a light bulb moment)...Maybe also our giving should be so automatic...that there is no time, thought, questioning...even b4 our other hand realizes what is being let go of....just do it. Release...give...let go.

out of reach

Matt. 25:31-37...Then the righteous will answer Him, Lord, "WHEN DID WE SEE" You hungry and feed you, or give You drink when you were thirsty, invite You in as a stranger, clothed You, visit You when You were sick or in prison? Verse 40..The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Acts 20:35, 2 Cor. 9:7, Proverbs 21:26

Whisper...could "be in secret" also include ones self?

Whisper...Steve, I was asked on Friday to go see a neighbor who was passing...and his wife and family who were really having a hard time through this. I went to say my good-byes and to pray. His adult children were all around. I saw and was blessed Spiritually through this. They were wanting a word of hope and understanding. Steve I saw through this...a man, father, grandfather...that through his life taught all of those who were around him....the important things about life and faith...but then I saw as he lay there dying...still teaching....teaching about dying. What a gift. Irving passed a day and a half later.

Is your spiritual height limited? Not seeing much growth lately? Are things weighing you down?

Proverbs 12:18...Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Vices Gal. 5:19-21 Virtues Gal. 5:22, 23

Scales

When another makes a negative comment, judgement, statement, opionion... so many times we either believe it or take it to heart. Unkind words spoken hurt, weigh us down, wound the soul, and leave us in pain with years of echos. Psm. 64:3

If we were able to look at it through Spiritual eyes....weigh it on the scale of Christs love and Gal. 5:22 the fruit of the Spirit...(including even discipline and correction)...it should carry much weight. If it was said to us in anger, jelousy, pride...it should carry little weight... but for many of us its weight is opposite.

In prayer and with the Lords guidance and direction...we need to pull the feathers (hurtful words) that weigh us down and discard them. We need to replace them with the Lords words of truth and His words that bring life.

Lord, my prayer lifted is that You mend our wings and carry each of us to new Spiritual heights in You. Ex. 19:4 Psm. 18:33 Isa. 61:1-3 Matt. 11:28,29

2 Cor. 3:18...And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Cor. 4:18 : So we fix our eye not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

kitten lion mirror

Earthly eyes see the one outside the mirror. Spiritual eyes see the "One" within. Whose reflection do you see in the mirror?

An example might be....,"Earthly eyes searching or looking"....Mirror mirror on the wall....I'm weak....the Lion in the mirror would reply....yes, alone "you" are...keep your eyes on Me. 2 Cor. 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Whisper... In admitting our weakness, we affirm Gods strength! "Spiritual eyes seeing".... Mirror mirror on the wall....I see your strength in my weakness.***v.10***

Another example might be...mirror mirror on the wall....I don't fit in. The Lion in the mirror would reply....Eph. 2:19-22, Col. 2:10, 1 Cor. 12:18,19-30 Rom 2:11, Rom. 12:11, Col. 3:10-14, Gal. 3:26-29.

Whatever you may say or see in the mirror....Gods Word holds the truths.

Hebrews 12a...Let us fix our eyes on Jesus....

Whisper....Thank you for being you in Him!

In Christ, in His glory....Brown Eagle

Pope To Visit NYC Synagogue For Passover http://wcbstv.com/topstories/Pope.Synagogue.Visit.2.691130.html MUST WATCH: From YouTube.com Pope Benedict XVI Exposed Worshipping at Jewish Temple A sampling of just a few of the books authored by crypto rabbi Joseph Ratzinger in which he denies Jesus Christ as the Messiah and the entire Christian faith. He is caught on tape worshipping in a temple actively partcipating in the Jewish religion in rare and shocking footage that was totally blackedout by the mainstream media. Benedict, just like his predecessor is also shown carrying the Satanic twisted crucifix. Watch as he denies that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah and that the Jews don’t need Him to be saved. The Pope is a bold heretic. All the more reason for us to BOLDLY declare that Yeshua is the fulfillment of Old Covenant Messianic Prophecies and the final Passover Lamb Who’s Blood was shed as atonement for the world’s sins. 1 John 4 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Unity

He is coming back for His people. All people as "One Body" in Christ. Not a people separated by differences, but a people unified in Christ. Not a people separated by prejudice, but a people unified in faith. Not a people separated by bitterness, but a people unified in Love. The Bible tells us that the Creator God created us ALL in His image. This means we should stop living by our own emotions and start operating in the Love of God. Instead of stumbling over differences which separate us, we need to look to the One that brings inclusion which is Jesus Christ. For it is He that separates the "wheat from the weeds" at harvest. He is the only one that can bring us together where we have grown so far apart. As a nation, we need to tear down the walls that stand between us, and replace them with the hand of fellowship. We must replace the hurt with forgiveness and mend the wounds with unity.

"Oh Great Spirit God, we ask that you give us direction on the path of life. We ask that you lead us to where YOU want us to go. We ask that you heal our hearts from ALL bitterness, from past hurts, and place in our hearts forgiveness. Great Spirit God, bring us together in the unity of your Son Jesus who is OUR healer...Amen" Rev. Dann "StrongOak" Dear

Ecc. 4:8-12b. v. 9 two are better then one...v12b A cord of three strands is not easily broken.

"The Bundle of Sticks"

An old man was about to die. He wanted to be sure his sons remembered an important lesson. He asked each of them to try to break a large bundle of sticks which was tied together. None of them could break it. Then he told them to untie the bundle and try to break each stick separately. They did this easily. Whisper....the Body of Christ is like these sticks.

Matt. 12:25..."Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." Ecc. 4:10, Col. 3:14...And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
